SAHU JAIN COLLEGE NAJIBABAD
This Institutional Development Plan (IDP) of Sahu Jain College for the academic year 2025-26 has been prepared in accordance with UGC Guidelines for Institutional Development Plans for Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). The following points reflect the progress of Sahu Jain College regarding the various elements of its IDP 2025-26 —-
- An online feedback mechanism has been developed to have students’ and guardians’ feedback on college activities and performance. Google forms have been developed in this regard. A committee headed by Dr. Deepak Tripathi has been managing this feedback system.
- A finance committee comprising of the various senior teachers and office staff & under the convenorship of Prof. Balram Singh (Principal) is looking after the various recurring and non-recurring expenditures’ requirements of the college; and sanctioning the required amount keeping in view the various available funds.
- Various mentor-mentee teams have been framed to develop various aspects of the personality of students and to resolve their academic, personal and social problems to the possible extent.
- Various sanctions have been granted to the teachers during the current academic year for attending orientation programs, refresher programs, faculty development programs, seminars, workshops etc.
- Proper follow up of the academic calendar and co-curricular action plan of the college has been ensured keeping in view the instruction guidelines of Higher Education Dept. and affiliating universities.
- Teaching learning process is in progress using Hybrid method of teaching involving offline classes as well as online classes using zoom, google meet platforms etc. E-content have been prepared by the teachers and made available to the students. Other online study material is being provided by the teachers to students through online platforms and WhatsApp groups etc.
- Continuous Assessments/Internal Assessments/Mid Term Exams/sessional exams/end semester exam and practical, viva, assignments etc. have been conducted for the UG & PG odd and even semesters as per the guidelines and instructions of affiliating universities and the U.P. Govt. Examinations have been conducted under CCTV Surveillance with voice recording. The CCTV surveillance and voice recording is online linked to university. Exam In-charge Prof. Manish Kumar Gupta and his exam control team is responsible for all exam related work of college.
- Activities like Developing cultural and traditional skills, activities involving teams or groups related to social work and social contribution are being continuous run by college through NSS, NCC, Rovers/Rangers and through various other programs of U.P. Govt.
- An IQAC comprising the senior teachers of various faculties of college and under the convenorship of Prof. Manish Kumar Gupta is fully functional and looking after the successful execution of various key elements of college IDP.
- Various eligible teaching and administerial staff of the college are getting benefits of their Career Advancement Program on time.
- Process of signing MoUs with various educational institutions of high reputation & reputed NGOs and with various industrialist of the district is in progress. Negotiations are underway in this regard.
- Various facilities, benefits and concessions have been provided to the eligible students time to time like reservation in admission process, tablet distribution, fee concession, scholarship/fee refund by state govt. etc. this year 2134 tablets and 13 smartphones have been distributed to eligible students under Digi Shakti program of U.P. Govt. This year a total no. of 1933 students has applied for Scholarship/Fee reimbursement scheme of U.P. Govt. out of which 739 belong to SC Category, 492 belong to OBC category, 132 to General Category and 570 belong to Minority category.
- Pratibha Samman Samaroh for the meritorious students and students having excellence in the areas of Sports, Cultural programs, NCC, NSS, rovers/rangers, competitions etc. was successfully organized at the time of Republic Day celebration 2026.
- Safety and Security of the students/staff and college assets has been ensured through proper arrangements of watchman, CCTV surveillance, arrangement of police force at exams & special events, proper lighting in college campus, safe parking etc.
- Special Cell formation and Mission Shakti Program have been conducted for the assistance of Female staff and female students of the College under convenorship of Professor Reena.
- Every section of college building is covered under Wi-Fi-facility, voice recording and CCTV surveillance. For green campus lawns, grounds, botanical garden etc. are thoroughly maintained as per seasonal requirements. Plantation programs are periodically run in college.
- A 40 Kwh on-grid solar power plant is now fully functional after successful completion of Soil Testing, Load bearing Test etc. Old malfunctioning inverters and batteries have been replaced.
- College progress has been depicted through various social media platforms like YouTube, Facebook and WhatsApp Channel etc.
- Best practices in college campus are smoothly run by various committees. These best practices include various programs for Road safety, Environment Conservation, Celebrations of birthday of various dignitaries, Nasha Mukti, Fire Fighting, Risk management, disaster management, time management, stress management and other programs time to time mandate by U.P. Govt., University and District Administration.
